The CADD Plus 5400 ambulatory drug delivery pump can be used for intravenous, subcutaneous, or intra-arterial drug delivery (excluding insulin). The clinician may program the pump in either of two modes: the Continuous mode or the Intermittent mode. In the Continuous mode, the pump delivers medication at a constant rate: in the Intermitent mode, it delivers medication at regular, preset intervals. The Sims Deltec Cadd Plus 5400 pump provides measure drug therapy to patients in hospital or outpatient settings.
