"Lance" Blood Glucose Test Trainer

"Lance" is Remedy's simulated finger stick and blood glucose trainer. This product will enable a student or patient to have a life like experience when testing blood sugar, using a glucose meter and obtaining a reading. "Lance" fits over the finger of a standardized patient or manikin."Lance" is available in two options: with or without a simulated blood fill kit. All versions of "Lance" ship without fluid in the fingers. "Lance" is the option that ships with the simulated blood kit. The version includes 8mL of simulated blood, 5mL syringe with a 20G industrial needle. The simulated blood will not register on actual blood glucose meters. Users will be able to lance* the fingertip, get a "blood" sample and proceed in the simulation with either a simulated blood glucose machine (not included), or an instructor provided simulated blood glucose level. *For best results Remedy recommends using a 30 gauge lancet as this will promote more massaging of the finger to produce the blood draw. Each package contains three fingers. Instructions for use are included in each package of "Lance" and "Lance MT". The instructions detail the filling and use of "Lance".
